Your Bio
Washington Photo was founded by Monica Vidal and Jack Hartzman in 2005. Owner/operators of MH Photography and Concepts from 1989 thru 2005, these industry leaders joined the professionals at The Washington Talent Agency to complete their event circle of life. Recipients of numerous ISES Gala Awards, Monica and Jack have been a part of more than 2500 events worldwide.
Creating images for more than 20 years in the areas of Personal and Executive Portraits, Weddings, Mitzvahs, Special Events, Corporate Galas, Incentive Programs and so much more, this dynamic team strives for perfection with every click of the camera.
Their credits include being featured on The WE Networks “Platinum Weddings 2009 Spring Season”, An official photographers of Six Presidential Inaugurations, Sponsor Photographer for 4 Super Bowls, 3 NCAA Final Fours Championships, the Sugar Bowl, Fight for Children’s – “Fight Night” and “School Night”, Official Photographer of the DC Chapter of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, and the Annual Easter Sunrise Service at the Lincoln Memorial. Their devotion to children never ends through combined efforts with Fight for Children, The Bullis School, Capital Camps and Retreat Center, Camp JCC, Camp Gan Israel of Upper Montgomery County, and so many other great causes, schools and summer camp programs.
Capturing memories for more than two decades, their vision for the future is bright and very optimistic. Jack is a teacher and mentor to young photographic talents and with more than 12 photographers in the corral, and an ever-growing staff of rising artists’, no event is too large or small. Mentored himself by the late, great Monte Zucker, Jack specializes in classical and traditional portraiture, while staying true to form in today’s cutting edge photo journalism. His passion for fashion and glamour photography, high school seniors, food/catering photography, group shots and even youth athletics, keeps him on his toes and never bored. Jack’s room shots of Special Events and his experience in large event coordination are unrivaled. In 2009 Jack and Monica traveled to Aruba for a fabulous wedding of a former Bat Mitzvah girl (she’s 36 now). Several months later he was in Sydney, Australia for the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) and since then they have travel with NACS to Vancouver, B.C., Sao Paulo, Brazil, Madrid, Spain, Las Vegas and Miami Beach.
Rockville and Baltimore Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York City, Miami Beach, Orlando, Hawaii, Indianapolis, Chicago, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Diego, Aruba, Australia and Israel – Just a few places Jack and Monica have created and captured images. Washington Photo uses Canon, Nikon and Fuji Professional digital cameras and lenses for all assignments and events.
